The International Society of The Fetus as a Patient
The International Society of The Fetus as a Patient was founded in 1984
by a prestigious international group of Perinatal Medicine specialists, the founder and first President being Professor Asim Kurjak from Croatia.
The aim of The Fetus as a Patient is the progress of the maternal, fetal and neonatal care. To achieve this objective, the Society holds an annual International Congress as well as Advanced Training Courses for post-graduates in Maternal-Fetal Medicine. Since 1987 the International Society of The Fetus as a Patient has also organized postgraduate courses.
The Society periodically edits a book entitled 'The Fetus as a Patient' which summarizes the most important lectures presented at the congresses.
